Ward Christmas Party
Paul deep fries the Christmas turkey
As always, the ward Christmas party this year was a blast. We had a great (and hilarious) talent show (complete with a sappy poem I wrote for Angela). We had music and dancing. We had three kinds of turkey (fried, baked, and roasted). A fun time for all.

Christmas with Angela
The evening started with a lovely candlelit dinner at my place (steak, salad, mashed potatoes, bubbly, and strawberry cheesecake ice cream), accompanied by a special selection of jazz and classical guitar. Then we sat down in front of the fireplace and opened presents. Angela gave me a new green button-down shirt, a "Stand a Little Taller" calendar book, and a wonderful blanket that she made herself. I gave her a potted flower, M&M bowl, pictures I took of us, a frame for one of them, and a new brown jacket. Then we went to Ryan and Johana's reception. Then we went to my Aunt Sharla's house. Then we went to temple square. Then I came home and stayed up very late packing so I could go to DC in the morning--no more Angela for a whole week!

Rees Family Christmas
Bryan and I, admiring the bounty
It was a lot smaller this year--Chris and Katie were there on the 22nd, so we had the traditional Christmas Eve dinner then. But it was just Bryan and I and Mom and Dad for Christmas. And a lot of cats. Still, it was fun.
