Anger is not an emotion
Karl's thought: Reflecting back upon Star Wars and the "dark side's" preoccupation with anger and hate, I remembered a theory of Institute teacher earlier this year. Anger is not an emotion, but a desperate and futile reaction to the frustration of things gone out of our control. It temporarily makes us feel empowered, because it gives us a false sense of having control over something, but it inevitably destroys what we value most.
Angela's thought: Don't leave your food to go to the bathroom if you are not done, or at least wait til your spouse is not on the phone so he can stop the food thief.
