Laugh out loud silly

It has been a busy and fun week for us. Last week was Karl's first week of finals, so he was busy studying for two of his finals. He had one Tuesday morning and one Friday morning—he thinks they went better than last semester (which wouldn't be too hard), but he sure was tired of studying. His last final will be this Tuesday, and his final paper is due this Friday. He was so busy he only played Ultimate Frisbee once all week!

Nonetheless, we were able to squeeze in a little fun. We decided to explore our neighborhood as part of our FHE this week, so we went on a few walks. We discovered some beautiful homes and some ugly homes on our little walk. One of the homes was so nice, we went up to the door and asked them to give it to us. They almost gave in, but they didn't know where else they would live, so we decided to switch. (j/k, but wouldn't it be great).

Wednesday we took a little break by walking over to the school and throwing the Frisbee around. Karl really enjoyed this, since he wasn't able to play Ultimate Frisbee most of the week. And because Angela's way cuter than the guys he plays Ultimate Frisbee with.

Friday night we went on our first picnic this spring. Yea!!!! Becky (Karl's sister) and her husband Wayne joined us. We had hot dogs, chips, Lion house potatoes, and peaches. It was a fun adventure, even though it was a little chilly. The hot dogs were nice and burnt—just the way we like them.

Saturday, Angela decided to leave Karl to "study" while she went out with the girls. She went up to Salt Lake to see Jessica, Lisa, and Kim (the ladies she used to travel to Europe and the South Pacific with). They went to Café Rio (YUM!!!), and to Boondocks to ride some go-karts. It was a fun evening, and great to see her friends, but it was great to come home and be with Karl again. Karl, meanwhile, watched soccer. Salt Lake has a team now—he's thinking of becoming a soccer fan. That is, after he watches his beloved San Antonio Spurs win the NBA championship (while his brother's Lakers sit at home and wish they were good :).

We also had some good grub this week: NC Southern BBQ, Spaghetti with yummy sauce, Enchiladas, and more. Isn't it great to know we are eating well, and don't you wish you could join us.

Angela received a church calling this morning. She is now a primary worker in the nursery. She even started today. She was sad to leave Karl and sad that they will not have the same calling, but it should be enjoyable. (At least she hopes so). The kids are cute anyway.

Have a good week and go to Hawaii!!!
