Thought for the week
My Constitutional Law professor spent the whole class on Thursday talking about Gettysburg, which was quite a break form interpreting the Commerce clause. At the end of it, he said he wanted us to take away two key ideas from his lecture:
1) People don't voluntarily risk their lives for interpretation of rules—they do so for ideas. Like freedom and peace.
2) Anytime we achieve some success or happiness in this life, we must be careful to recognize that it doesn't come only through our own efforts. We are indebted to those who came before us, and those who support us now. It is because of their belief in the idea of a better future, that our opportunity for happiness exists.
Angela's thought for the week:
If you see a cheap price for tickets, don't wait until your boss says you can go. Just buy them. Unless they get cheaper. Then you feel stupid.
